We are a fully working farm. The farm is a mixed farm where we grow crops, raise cows and also have a large herd of sheep. We start calving in February so it is a great time to visit if you are willing to brave the cold weather! We then start the lambing season at the beginning of March, so have lots of very cute new born lambs you will be able to see around the farm by Easter.
Our herd of cows are housed inside sheds for the winter at the back of the farm house and you are welcome to walk around and have a look. Please do not startle them as particularly when having their baby calves they can be easily stressed and get worked up. We then turn them out in to the fields in the summer months where they can be seen grazing freely.
Park Farm is a family farm which has now been in the same family for 3 generations dating back over 75 years. We are situated on the edge of the North York Moors, a mile out of the village of Kildale. From the farm are spectacular views of the Hambleton Hills, Yorkshire Dales and Great Ayton moorland on which stands Captain Cook’s monument.
